Move Sirdde Flytta
Trilingual Picture Book Project
"Move / Sirdde / Flytta" , created as part of the project I Händelsernas Centrum led by Konstfrämjandet Norrbotten. The book follows a young hare whose mother is involved in the city's relocation efforts. Despite the growing mine hole, the little hare is reluctant to move. The narrative reflects thoughts and feelings shared by participating children, with discussions conducted in Sami, Swedish, and English, which are mirrored in the book's translations. Attentive readers can also spot depictions of the two play sculptures, "Andan" and "Moving Objects," within the book.
In the autumn of 2024, at the start of the school term, "Move Sirdde Flytta" was distributed to all four- and five-year-olds in Kiruna Municipality, as well as to all preschool departments.
